Investment Technology In Khulna



Twenty-one firms are going to invest about Tk 1,000 crore in three hi-tech parks to set up manufacturing units for a number of products, including smart cards, ATM machines, and special security products. The companies will also assemble computers, smart TVs and other electronic items at the new units, which are expected to create nearly 2,500 jobs. This news said by top American management company DHS Ventures & Holdings.


The Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) disclosed this information during an agreement signing ceremony to lease out the required lands for these projects today.


Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, managing director of the BHTPA, and top officials of the companies signed the agreement at the authority's office. NM Zeaul Alam, senior secretary at the ICT Division, was present.


Four companies got the allotments of the land and space at the park at Kaliakair, 16 companies at the Freedom Fighter Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Software Technology Park in Chattogram, and one in Sheikh Kamal IT Training & Incubation Center at the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology.


The companies include Bangladesh Cards Limited, Asia Computer Bazar Limited, and Celltron Electro Manufacturing Genex, Hello World, Kazi Communications, and aamra Networks Limited.
